JESUS CAME TO HIS OWN PEOPLE BUT THEY DIDN'T RECEIVE HIM
I found it disheartening when I visited Israel where
Jesus was born two millennia ago, to learn that 50% of the population is
secular or irreligious, with 37% agnostic and 15% atheist. God
took upon Himself flesh so we could "behold" Him. This was the point
of the angels' words to Joseph concerning the upcoming birth of Jesus;
"...and they shall call His name Immanuel', which translated means 'God
with us" (Matthew 1:23). Secularized Jews don’t believe it, nor do
practicing Jews who are still waiting for a Messiah.
