The fundamental truth of Christian faith is God’s grace and
what Christ has done for us, which is everything. Too many preachers,
communicators, writers are still harping on an exaggerated moralism, spouting
off about intensifying your devotion, trying harder, doing better. Stop it. Of
course take your faith seriously but don’t get off track theologically.
Christian faith rests on the love and sacrifice of Christ not our love for him or our performance.
