A Word to the World: Nothing is more
deleterious to human relations than humans themselves. Nothing damages human
spirits more than does human heartlessness. Nothing ruins relationships more
than does frivolous human speech. Nothing imperils human survival more than
humanity's own cold-hearted egocentricity. Nothing has killed more humans than
humans themselves.
A Word to the World: We global humans are
exquisitely intelligent and diverse creatures but appallingly we have such ingenuous
parochial worldviews that we cannot grasp that we are ONE remarkable,
intelligent human genus of biped being, each of whom deserves identical respect
and compassion.
A Word to the World:
Are you experiencing the anguish of world-weariness. 'World pain' mutates into
boredom, anxiety, sadness or despair. The ills of the world overwhelm,
realities don’t satisfy and the future appears bleak. World pain is serious but
numbness is more perilous still. Where do you find hope?
A Word to the World:
Malls are decorating for Christmas. What do you want for Christmas? We have so
much. Economies with unprecedented wealth, clothing, cars, E-devices,
technologies to Saturn. This planet's in peril. Women for sale, maturing
children in refugee camps, uninhabitable cities through war, countries
incapable of producing food, no potable water. What would you like to give? Can
we make our lives about giving?
A Word to the World:
Negative is stronger than positive. Bad beats good. People recollect critical
disapproval more than commendation. It takes several positive affirmations to
compensate for a negative experience. Can we encourage one another?
A Word to the World:
Words are the beginning. Words begin stories. Once upon a time. Words terminate
relationships. Words initiate peace or launch conflicts. Developing that inner
life from which words meet life is crucial to us all.
A Word to the World:
Society has turned to resentment, rage and despair and what is needed is
leadership that speaks balance, reason, wisdom, kindness and truth.
A Word to the World:
People with influence and power discarding the aptitude to disagree vigorously
but healthily and civilly, are humiliating and degrading our populations.
